Hi, my name is Celine McCormack, I live on Inishbofin, where I have the beauty of nature surrounding me. Giving me ample opportunities to take photographs because for as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to photography. I’m constantly captivated by what unfolds before my eyes, whether it’s a sweeping landscape, the rhythmic crash of waves, shifting clouds, the dynamic energy of weather, beloved pets, wildlife, or the expressions on people’s faces. A fleeting moment often stirs something deep within me, capturing the essence of what it means to feel. Nature and human expressions hold a certain magic, revealing something unique at a specific moment in time. The Navajo Indians once believed that having a photo taken captured a piece of their soul and I can understand that sentiment. A photograph, perfectly timed, can encapsulate a person’s joy, fear, sadness, wonder, playfulness, or awe—moments that define our humanity and individuality. Such moments resonate with loved ones who see a photo, recognizing the familiar look, smile, furrowed brow, or sparkle in the eyes that evokes their memory of the person.

Just as we see people through their expressions, I believe nature also has its moments to share if we take the time to pause and truly observe. I often smile when I notice forms in nature that echo the human figure, and am left in awe of its perfection. I’ve compiled this collection of photos to share these moments with you. I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoyed capturing them.

About Tidal Art

In the realm where sea meets shore, these captivating and inspirational tidal arts, emerge from the natural phenomenon of the ocean. Its fleeting nature adds to its uniqueness and beauty, as the waves play the role of an artist’s gifted hand continuously crafting intricate patterns on its sandy canvas, only to wash them away and start anew with each passing tide.

These sea drawings embody the concept of impermanence, reminding us of life's ever-changing nature. Each photograph captures a short-lived moment, preserving a glimpse of nature's art, while emphasizing its irreplaceable essence.

This marvel of nature's creativity embraces life's transient and ever-changing aspects. It encourages us to appreciate the beauty around us, however brief, to find value in the uniqueness of every passing experience.

These pictures will capture your imagination from any angle, inspiring your individual and unique creative perspective.
